Brucellosis

Brucellosis is an extremely dangerous infectious disease with various transmission routes that affects many organs and systems, mainly damaging the bones and the nervous system, causing allergic manifestations, and often leading to subsequent disability.

Brucellosis mainly affects farm animals - sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, camels, reindeer, and so on. The disease is transmitted when products made from the meat or milk of an infected animal are consumed. Raw milk (especially sheep's and goat's) and dairy products (brynza cheese, cream, sour cream, kumis, etc.) carry a high risk.
The disease presents in patients with a rise in body temperature, disorders of the musculoskeletal system, inflammation of the genitourinary system, and miscarriage in pregnant women.
