School canteen: which foods and products may not be prepared or sold?
? Extensive reforms are being carried out in our country to promote a healthy lifestyle among the population, in particular to organize safe and healthy nutrition for pupils in general secondary, secondary specialized and vocational education institutions.
In accordance with the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 10, 2020, "On additional measures to ensure healthy nutrition of the population" and dated May 25, 2021, "On additional measures for the comprehensive development of the healthcare sector", measures have been established to organize safe and healthy nutrition for pupils in general secondary, secondary specialized and vocational education institutions, to prevent infectious and non-infectious diseases, and to prevent food poisoning.
✅ Along with the sanitary-epidemiological requirements for organizing meals in educational institutions and for the location and layout of dining rooms, the resolution sets out many important requirements, such as organizing proper nutrition and drawing up a model menu.
